Tell us what you are trying to do? I was using the ATE for new content and the CTE for content original published with the CTE. I found I was having bug with these settings and then I switched to only using the CTE, which worked well. However, I similar the options in the ATE best, so I have tried switching everything to the ATE. I am finding that if I make a change on the site, then open the ATE to update the translation, everything has just reverted back to how it was in the CTE even though I had saved new changes in the ATE.
Is in that location whatever documentation that yous are following?
Is at that place a like instance that nosotros can see?

That ordinarily happens when yous had CTE earlier OR when the site can't access the ATE job assigned to your page.
Please do the post-obit to endeavour to ready this:
- Go to WPML > Translation Management > Translation Jobs
- Now cancel the agile jobs for the pages that are opening in CTE (skip this step if they are canceled)
- Get to WPML > Settings > How to translate posts and pages > Press the button next to the ATE option
- Go to the page in question and add a character to the title (or whatsoever other WordPress native field)
- Save the folio and try to open the translation again.
Does information technology work then?
The process mentioned to a higher place "resets" the previous status of the folio in the database and uses the latest one you take configured.

Hi, thank you for your aid! I found that this process helped for some of the pages just I am still having problems. The content is not that different between the CTE and ATE in most cases because I but made minor tweaks, so sometimes information technology is hard for me to be certain which content is showing. However, for the Sign up forms I am quite certain that I had made changes in the ATE that end up being lost. I also remember that the posts are reverting back to the older content.
What is more than, for some reason in one case I switched to the ATE for all content, my sign up forms stopped working. I get mistake letters for all 3 languages if I try to sign up with an email address. They worked before when I was using the CTE beyond the whole site. I don't know if this is also something you tin help with or if I will have to starting time a new thread? Thanks!

one) Have you recently migrated your site? No. I have been trying different settings in a plugin called SG Optimizer - it is a plugin from my hosting visitor Siteground to better website speed and optimization. I accept wondered if any of these settings have been causing problems but I cannot figure out which ones and how.
2) How do you know the content is missing? In my subscribe grade in particular I am 100% sure. I combined ii English phrases into one in the ATE for one of the error messages in the form, but no matter how many times I save it, if I follow the steps you previously gave me and go dorsum and make a change in the original form, my translated forms lose the change I fabricated in the ATE.
iii) I guess you lot are at present talking about previously translated content in ATE, correct? Yes, that is correct.
4) Where do you lot get error messages and what errors are you lot seeing (this is regarding the sign upward forms which i suppose we're talking virtually the Mailchimp four WordPress plugin, correct?) Hullo again, cheers for all the answers and the instructions as to what to do adjacent. I have stopped joining the segments in the sign up class. There is, all the same, ane other function in the form that always reverts back to existence incorrect as well (if I make a change to the English grade and so become into the ATE to modify the French and Spanish translated forms). This is an html attribute, and information technology just seems to happen in the French form. In the class, French is 4a4bd2a540, English language is
e80bf9caf5 and Spanish is fd85080c60. People have to click which language they adopt when they sign up. I wanted to modify the order of the appearance of the language choices for each translated version of the form. So I inverse the society of the attributes, with French start in the French form and Spanish first in the Spanish form. The Spanish form saves with the correct social club and correct language attributes. But if I brand a modify in the English course, then open the French form to modify it, the attributes appear as English e80bf9caf5 English language e80bf9caf5 Castilian fd85080c60 (French should exist first, but it has disappeared).

1) I updated everything. As a side note, I had thought this was happening automatically considering it is set up to do and so, but it didn't look every bit if WPML plugins had updated automatically, I am non sure why.
ii) Ok, I deleted it.
iii) Ok, I inverse the title of the class (I actually tried twice).
four) I checked the Spanish and the French form. Castilian was fine both times. The French form had the same issue both times with the html attribute for ticking off French linguistic communication (4a4bd2a540) disappearing, and being replaced by the English 1 (e80bf9caf5).

I could alter everything correctly, edited it more or less twice and the translations were e'er in that location.
Nonetheless, i did discover that the codes were all wrong. not because the organisation took them incorrectly only because y'all probably got confused when translating them and ended up only translating one of the languages code, and the residual remained the same, which is not correct. (i checked this on previous ATE translations on our side and saw that these translations were like this before as well, so they were saved like that on a previous translations.)
Am i missing something? i tin see everything working correctly, even if i edit the content.

I think i understand where the trouble lies. in the video you kept proverb things as if information technology had some sort of positioning when that's not the case.
Translation documents get the gild from a file chosen XLIFF which gets the order co-ordinate to database queries then don't really meet it every bit "top, middle, lesser" check the content and translate it accordingly.
Rmember that the left column has the "original" strings and the correct one the translated one, so if in the original you take "english " as the first checkbox option, then expect for the text "English" no matter the position and translate it accordingly 🙂
I hope i was clear enough, because i'thou almost sure this confusion probably made it then you translated the content incorrectly.
Try to fix that equally i did, maybe past having a pocket-size "cheatsheet" of the correct "pair" (language - list lawmaking) and translate it accordingly every bit i did on the video.

So, I have been using a "cheatsheet" with the html attributes and their corresponding language names. I think I do understand that I must match upward each html attribute with its corresponding language label.
I went back and watched the video yous sent once again and I am wondering i thing. When you lot tried irresolute the form title, saving it, and so opening the translated forms (French and Spanish), information technology seems to me that you did that with the html language elements not "translated", i.e. they looked like the following?
So it was:

Yet, if I open the French translation and modify the html attributes, so that French is replacing English, and English is replacing French, and Spanish stays Spanish, therefore saving information technology this manner:

So I think when you originally opened the form to expect at what I had done, it looked as if I had mistranslated the html attributes, but it was only that things had already "reverted".

Distressing about this. when i start checked this page, only the French code was different. it had the number of the English one Simply the english language and spanish 1 had their ain translation.
This is what made me believe that you had translated only 1 of the 3 fields only, and you concluded having the 2 other codes pretty much the aforementioned equally it was before.
